Canada has begun cracking down on immigration as it has seen an influx of people illegally crossing the border from the United States. Canada has seen this influx due to recent fears that have risen under President Donald Trump. Most of these are immigrants who are seeking asylum in Canadian borders. Unlike America, Canada is taking a different approach to the growing number of refugees. Canada is tightening up its border laws that will deter immigrants from entering the country, but according to a Canadian minister they will not increase border security. According to the Canada-United States Safe Third Country Agreement, if a refugee has already declared refugee status in the United States, he or she cannot be a refugee in Canada. This has been a growing problem in Canada as most towns along the border have seen a significant increase of illegal immigration.

FBI chief James Comey has refuted President Donald Trumps claim that Barack Obama wire tapped his phone in Trump Towers. According to Trump, former President Obama use wire tapping technology to hack Trumps phone during the election. Trump urges that the FISA Court look into his concerns. The FISA Court is a courtroom that both the FBI and CIA must appeal to in order to gain a warrant to wire tap a persons phone. Obamas representatives have outright denied the claims and say that it is not under the Presidents authority to even order a wire tapping investigation on someone.
