This year is a record-setting year for the NBA: the most triple-doubles ever recorded in a single season. Seventy-nine is the number as of now. This is only going to increase because players like Russell Westbrook and James Harden are just starting to build steam. Leading the NBA in triple-doubles this year is Westbrook with a total of 30 triple-doubles.
After Kevin Durant decided to leave Westbrook and the Thunder, Westbrook has made a personal competition with himself and it is surely paying off. Harden, on the other hand, is behind Westbrook by a total of 15 triple-doubles. Harden is approaching the game differently because he was introduced to the point guard position at the beginning of this year. Now Harden can make smarter plays while giving his team a better chance to win. Of course, the third person on the list is LeBron James with seven triple-doubles.

NGU’s JJ Sherman has had another great performance. Sherman set a national mark in the 60-meter race with a time of 6.78. This time has not only landed Sherman some national attention, but he is ranked 10th as of now nationwide.
Sherman will be competing with the best in the nation this Thursday, March 9 at Birmingham, Al track facilities. Sherman is going to see some familiar faces and teams from the Conference Carolinas.

On the basketball scene, overseas 34-year old center Blagota Sekulic landed himself a player of the week award by having a double-double performance. Sekulic had 26 points along with 10 rebounds. Sekulic deserves this award because his normal average is on 7.3 points per game.
This performance compared to the average is outstanding. Sekulic’s shooting percentage was well over 50 percent at 66 percent. Fuenlabrada is the team’s name and Sekulic helped the team to a decent record of 10 wins while losing 12.
