Cricket player suspended
On Monday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suspended opening cricket batsman, Nasir Jamshed, for violating PCB’s corruption code. Officials have stated that he will be suspended from all forms of cricket for the violation. The PCB has not elaborated the nature and timing of the violation, but they are still investigating.
Another Sandusky incident
One of Jerry Sandusky’s sons was charged Monday with sex crimes involving two girls, more than five years after the former Penn. State assistant coach himself was arrested on child molestation charges. Sandusky’s son (old Penn State coach) was charged with solicitation of statutory sexual assault, solicitation of sexual intercourse, six counts of unlawful contact with a minor and two counts of solicitation to photograph or depict sexual acts, sexual abuse of children and corruption of minors. A police officer said in the arrest sheet that on Nov. 21, the victims’ father turned over to investigators text messages from Sandusky, in which he asked one of the girls for nude pictures.
Michigan State Suspends Coach
Michigan State suspended its women’s gymnastics coach after she downplayed complaints about sexual abuse by a sports doctor. Larry Nassar, the doctor involved, is being sued by over two dozen women and girls who allege that he molested them during treatment.
North Greenville Lacrosse gets a win
Crusaders are 1-0 at the start of the season. With an impressive 16-9 win over Alabama Huntsville, North Greenville will try to accomplish a 2-0 record against Queens University (Charlotte, NC) at 1 p.m.
