Trampolining into success

Over the past couple of years the trend of trampoline parks has grown more popular than ever, with places like Sky Zone and Gravitopia parks steadily becoming the new source for family-friendly fun. Due to its growing industry, others look to join in on the trampoline fun.
Dustin Pelletier , who was once in the contruction industry, wanted a new and fun-filled opportunity for him and his family. Pelletier decided that starting his own trampoline park would be way to achieve that goal.
Pelletier says ,“We decided we wanted to do a trampoline park because every time we go to trampoline parks, it’s always really busy, a lot of energy and a lot of families having a good time,” he said. “Plus, it’s a good workout. It’s not like going to a movie. It’s really active and fun for the whole family.”
Pelletier’s 35,000 sqaure-foot faclity sets his apart from most trampoline parks. Big Air Trampoline Park opened in October, at Westgate Crossing in Spartanburg, close to the Westgate Mall. It features multiple activies for the whole family and includes a cafe, trampolines for younger children, a mechanical bull, a 1,200-square-foot rock climbing wall, a balance beam over foam pits, a laser maze of the trampolines and a 2,500-square-foot ninja warrior course: the largest in the state. .
Students thoughts on the new trampoline park are somewhat mixed. Some students, such as Junior Matt Thomas, think that, “It’s just another Sky Zone.” Others think that Big Air is set apart from most trampoline parks. “It offers way more than Gravitopia, and its cheaper. Seems like this place would be more fun,” sophomore Brayln Blakely said.
