Crusader Football in NCAA Division II playoffs
On Nov. 26, 2016 the NGU Crusaders played at home in Younts Stadium against the Tuskegee University Tigers. This game was round two in the NCAA Division II playoffs and the Crusaders pulled out a win against the Tigers with the final score of 45-26. The Crusaders will advance to a quarterfinal game against North Alabama next week.
Last Cultural Event opportunity
The last cultural event of the semester will be held at Fairview Baptist Church at 7 p.m. on Nov. 29, 2016. This cultural event will be a Christmas concert and no ticket is required.

Death of Florence Henderson
Actress Florence Henderson passed away on Thanksgiving day (Nov. 24) due to heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Henderson was best known for her role as Carol Brady on the American hit sitcom “The Brady Bunch.”
Nikki Haley for U.N. Ambassador
President elect, Donald Trump chose S.C. governor, Nikki Haley to become the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations on Nov. 23, 2016.

Children’s hospital bombing in Aleppo
The Syrian government launched bombs and targeted children’s hospitals in the area. Many children, along with doctors, nurses and medical staff were seriously injured and even killed.
Death of Fidel Castro
Former Cuban leader, Fidel Castro died on Nov. 25, 2016. Many Cuban-Americans in south Florida rejoiced when they heard the news.
