Next time you visit downtown Greenville, be sure to check out the city’s wide variety of mobile food services, instead of the traditional brick and mortar restaurants.

The food truck industries mostly consist of fast foods such as, hamburgers, fries, and sandwiches. South Carolina food trucks are most likely to be found around the Charleston area.

Good qualities in a food truck can include the people working and the way in which the food is prepared. You have to have a passion to be able to work in this industry, because people who drive and work the food truck work countless hours and drive many miles every day.

You also have to have great customer service, which goes for every business, but especially working in a food truck. You want your customers to be pleased with the business so that they will share the good qualities of your food truck to other people to help your food truck become successful.

You also have to be a skilled cook to work in a food truck. The cooks in the truck have very limited space to work in, therefore you must know that you are doing to make sure you cook the necessary foods.

Bad qualities of a food truck can range from the customer service to the pricing of the food. The price of the food can sometimes be a little high. The owner of the truck has to not only pay for the food for the truck he also has to pay the employees and the gas for each truck. You also can run into those workers that aren’t passionate about the job, therefore they are not showing good customer service. Working in a small place with two or three people can get overwhelming and make a person irritable.

Food trucks tend to cater weddings, events, and festivals.

Here are a few popular food trucks in South Carolina:

Coastal Crust Pizza

Robino’s Food Truck

Fudd Truck

Cory’s Grilled Cheese

The Chuck Truck
