Inky the octopus makes a break for it

In the wee morning hours of April 14, 2016, Inky the Octopus broke out of his enclosure at the National Aquarium of New Zealand, which captured the imagination of New Zealanders and made headlines around the world.  Octopus tracks at the scene suggest that he slid across 8 feet of floor to barrel down a 164-foot-long drainpipe that dropped him into the ocean.
