8 Sequels You Don’t Want To Miss

It is a common statement that all Hollywood does is make sequels because they don’t have any more original ideas; however, these movies might just change your mind. Be sure to check out these sequels when they come to a theater near you.
8. “Ice Age: Collision Course”
In one of the all time classic animation movie franchises, the gang of Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie and more are back for another adventure in “Ice Age: Collision Course.” After Scrat’s pursuit of the acorn jeopardizes Manny’s homeland, the gang looks for a new shelter before it’s too late. This sequel is expected to be released in theaters on July 22.
7. “Star Trek Beyond”
This movie is for the loyal Trekkies. Justin Lin has kept the plot of this movie pretty close to heart. This movie is going to be a great summer movie to go watch and enjoy. “Star Trek Beyond” is set to be in theaters on July 22.
6. “Ghostbusters”
This movie is a remake of the original “Ghostbusters” made in 1984. It is to introduce the younger audience to what “Ghostbusters” was back in the day, with a more modern relevance. Watch it for yourself when “Ghostbusters” opens in theaters July 15.
5. “TMNT: Out of the Shadows”
The second “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle” (TMNT) movie, from producer Michael Bay, is a film that has a lot of people excited. From the trailer, it looks to be more of an original story from the original TMNT stories. With the addition of Stephen Amell, playing the legendary Casey Jones, this movie is guaranteed to sell tickets. “TMNT: Out of the Shadows” comes out on June 3.
4. “Now You See Me 2”
The whole cast, excluding Isla Fisher, is back and we finally get to see what happens to the Four Horsemen after the conclusion of the last movie. Daniel Radcliffe is set to be the main villain in this movie and that alone should have you excited. You can see “Now You See Me 2” on June 10.
3. “Alice Through The Looking Glass”
In the second edition of a live action “Alice in Wonderland,” Disney is going to show us Alice’s life after she first went down the rabbit’s hole. The plot of the movie is Alice finding a glass that helps her see Wonderland once again. Once she sees The Mad Hatter, played by Jonny Depp, who has lost his Muchness, she is sent on a quest by Mirana, played by Anne Hathaway. You can see what happens next when Alice hits the theaters on May 27.
2. “X-Men Apocalypse”
Although “X-Men Apocalypse” is more of an origin story of how the X-Men came to be, this movie is mostly exciting for viewers because it features one of the baddest villains in all of the Marvel Universe: Apocalypse. You can see if the X-Men can overcome Apocalypse when they hit the theaters on May 27.
1. “Captain America: Civil War”
Each trailer of this movie has fans getting more and more excited to see it. With superheroes like Black Panther, Black Widow, Hawkeye and the brand new Spiderman all making appearances, it is safe to say that this movie is going to be one of the top films of the year. Whose side are you on? Team Captain or Team Iron Man? Find out who is going to win the war when it hits theaters May 6.
