Student body pleased with new website

Every year, hundreds of high schoolers think about applying to NGU because it is where ‘Christ makes the difference.’ Having a good-looking website helps, too.
Many marketing experts theorize that individuals get their first impression of an institution by looking at a website. Last week, North Greenville University launched ngu.edu, a redesigned website representing the different organizations within the school. Ngu.edu has many new features that the old website did not have; however, the interface is straightforward and easy to navigate.
The redesigned web page is one of many steps the university is taking to improve its appearance in the marketplace of higher learning institutions. During a visit to campus for the Red Carpet Film Festival, renowned producer Phil Cooke stressed the importance of a schools web presence during a speech.
Visibility is just as important as ability. If an institution does not have a solid media presence, they will not be taken seriously, said Cooke.
Students and faculty hope that NGUs web presence will be competitive and professional for years to come.
The website, revealed on April 4, has received a lot of positive feedback from faculty and students. Here are what some of them have to say.
I like how the new website maps out different majors. It makes it a lot easier for prospective students to decide what classes they might want to take.
