Exams are looming, and assignments are piling up, but North Greenville University students can relieve study-time stress by listening to these eight little-known Christian bands.

Pacific Gold
Pacific Gold is an eclectic band based in Seattle, and many of their tracks are as they call it Repurposed Hymns and Spiritual Songs.
By reworking classic hymns like Fanny Crosbys I Will Know Him, Pacific Gold marries the past and the present, and their peaceful tunes can calm even the most stressed student.

Seeker and Servant
Based in Jackson, Miss., Seeker and Servant is a duo of brothers who create atmospheric tracks overlayed with distinctive vocals.
The band covers modern hymns like How Deep the Fathers Love for Us with the same ambient rock sound of their original songs.
Give their restful albums a listen during the breaks between assignments.
Waken
Waken is based in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and their quiet, powerful music is perfect for afternoon study marathons.
The band has a 204 album called Endless Light, and they recently released a single, Dwell.
Check them out here.
Civil Parish
This four man group is based in Orlando, Fla., and their music is similar to the sound of Seeker and Servant with a folk twist.
Listening to their tracks while reviewing your notes outside is the perfect combination.

We Are Creation
This Nashville-based band has been around since 2008, and their instrumentation varies from synthesizer to acoustic guitar to violins.
Many of their tracks such as Holy Are are great for psyching yourself for that final exam worth 20 percent of your grade.

Home Is Calling
Drawing influences from Coldplay and The Fray, Home Is Calling is great for studying in the caf or stud.
