Humans of NGU Kimberly Elliott: Eyebrows on Fleek
Ashley Howell, Contributing Writer
Whether its binge watching Netflix, being the perfect hostess, or repping eyebrows on fleek, golden retriever enthusiast Kimberly Elliott, is more than just your average freshman.
Elliott, 19, is a freshman Elementary Education major at North Greenville University. She loves being with children, and hearing them share their stories, as well as sharing funny moments that only children can inspire. I want to have an impact on kids lives and show the love of Christ to kids who might not otherwise see it. I had insanely awesome teachers that had a huge influence on me.
A model student, Elliott does her best to evenly distribute her time between school and her friends. Elliott functions as the mother of her friend group, and her door is always open. She is always up for taking a trip to Waffle House, hanging out on campus, or posing for a random photoshoot. She hosts a variety of spontaneous events including movie nights, game nights and sleepovers.
Elliotts mother instincts are not only seen in the classroom and her friend group. Elliott loves golden retrievers, particularly her own, Cooper. She says one of the hardest parts about living hours from home, is being away from her dog. I probably love my dog too much, she says. Cooper was her birthday present a little over two years ago, and she loves spending time with him.
Currently residing just outside of Columbia, SC, Elliott also has a heart for missions and travel. She recently traveled to New York, and will return there again this summer to serve with Crossroads, a network of church plants on Long Island. New york is my favorite city. It has such a variety of people, and theres so much to do. Besides that, its just beautiful, Elliott says.
But there is another place that holds a special place in Elliotts heart. I love North Greenville because of the atmosphere, and that its Christ centered. And its tucked away in such a beautiful area.
