For those of you who are hip and in with the times, trying to find the trendiest places to shop may come easily; however, it can be a struggle for others who may not be familiar with the Greenville area or just don’t have a strong passion for shopping.

With trends and fashion constantly changing, along with the bipolar weather of the south, finding the right places for the right situation can be difficult. Below are five trendy shops in Greenville that can assist you with your shopping needs.

1. Francesca’s

This little boutique tucked away in the Haywood Mall has a wide array of playful, casual women’s clothing. Francesca’s always keep up with the latest trends and the store has a great seasonal wardrobe selection. To go along with the stylish clothes, Francesca’s also provides a great selection of shoes, bags and jewelry.

2. Taz Boutique

Located on 101 N. Main St. on the first floor of the Bank of America building, this new boutique has managed to find a spot in the hustle and bustle of downtown Greenville. “It’s like going to your sister’s or your best friend’s closet,” said the owner, Faye Altman. This store offers a variety of everyday women’s clothing along with denim, accessories and shoes. So whatever look you are going for this spring season, Taz Boutique has got you covered — literally.

3. Southern Fried Cotton

Not too far from North Greenville University lies a quaint T-shirt and apparel store for all of you who are into cuffed jeans and Chaco’s (you know who you are). It provides a great selection of southern styled T-shirts for both genders that aim to capture the essence of southern spirit. Their moderately priced shirts are great for any occasion and any season, so no need to fret about when to wear one. Their location is 118 N. Main St, Greenville, S.C. 29601.

5. Horizon

This store has been around for quite some time. And by “quite some time,” I mean over 40 years. Horizon has a wide variety of vinyls, CDs and much more. For those who appreciate a great music selection that represents just about every genre, this is the place to be. And from the looks of it, they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. The address is 2-A West Stone Avenue, Greenville, S.C. 29609.
