March Madness heats up as we roll into the Sweet 16. Many teams fought hard for their spot in the tournament, but some let it slip from their grasp. Sunday’s game between Texas A&M and Northern Iowa wrought the biggest comeback in college basketball history when Northern Iowa, up by 12 with 40 seconds left, was unable to hold their lead and lost in double OT. The game amazed people because the odds of a comeback with such little time were minuscule.

In North Greenville sports, track and baseball athletes have set precedents this week by breaking school records on the track and the diamond.
Stanley Limoh broke the school record for the 800 meter event with a time of 1:52 this past weekend in a Charlotte meet. The previous record was 1:54 held by Trey Black. Runners are granted automatic acceptance into the Olympics if their time is 1:46. Six seconds may be a large gap, but since he is a freshman it is clear we can continue to expect great things from Limoh during his time at NGU.

Nathaniel Maggio hit a home run against Anderson Thursday night making it his twelfth home run of the season and setting a new school single season home run record. With the winning streak the team has just recently ended, Maggio’s new record only adds to the excitement of the season.
