Taste the best of Greenville restaurants at the third-annual Plate Crawl

Its no secret that Greenville is a haven for foodies. There is truly something for everyone. People who take part in Greenvilles third annual Small Plate Crawl will have the opportunity to try everything from the most innovative culinary trends to down-home southern cooking.
Carolina Epicurean Events is hosting the event which lasts from Tuesday March 22 until Thursday March 24. Anyone who is interested can print a passport which gives access to all 28 venues involved. Once you have your passport, you can visit restaurants located on Main Street in Travelers Rest and Main Street in downtown Greenville. Each restaurant is offering small plates ranging from $4-$10.
Among the venues is Sushi Yama, a swanky new joint in Travelers Rest that stretches the boundaries of Japanese cuisine. Like other restaurants, Sushi Yama is blending their signature style with upstate traditions. The V – Tree Hugger Roll features edamame hummus, mango, shaved almond and local honey. This aint your daddys sushi.
Soul food can also be found throughout the Small Plate Crawl. The Whistle Stop Cafe features fried green tomatoes, a tongue-in-cheek homage to the 1991 movie.

The event will finish off with a wrap party from 8-11 p.m. on Thursday. This will be a good opportunity to meet Laura Huff and Nichole Livengood, the organizers of the Small Plate Crawl.
“Our crawl is a low cost and fun event for the public as well as a low cost way for restaurants to build their customer base, increase brand awareness, show off their chef and cuisine and give back to their community in a fun way. I hope to see some North Greenville University students crawling around Greenville and Travelers Rest,” said Huff.
