Just how fast can fast food go?
Advancements in technology have helped ease time consumption within our society. Starbucks, Panera Bread and Dunkin Donuts are a few businesses that are now participating in lowering their customers’ time consumption via their new mobile ordering systems.
By downloading each business’ personalized app, customers can place their order on their phone by turning on the location services and choosing the nearest and most convenient location.
Customers can even pay for their orders via their smartphones, laptops or computers as well.
Stephanie Anderson, an employee at the Dunkin Donuts in Travelers Rest said, “I feel like the app is increasing business at our establishment.”
The apps also allow you to view your accumulated reward points, receive exclusive offers and more.

Tristan Herzog, an employee at the Starbucks on Wade Hampton in Greer said the app wasn’t necessarily increasing business, but hopes the app will evolve and attract more customers to the store.
“The people that use the app already customers here,”said Herzog. “There are still a lot of kinks in the system that need to be resolved.”
