3. Mac n’ Cheese

Another fan favorite is macaroni and cheese. Macaroni and cheese is a great meal or snack and if you are tired of the microwaveable bowls you can make some fresh. First, get a bowl or cup and dump the pasta inside. Second, add water and microwave the noodles. Third, drain water and add shredded cheese. Lastly, melt cheese in microwave and let cool.

Finally, the last microwave friendly meal, the staple for a college student — Ramen. We have all heard the jokes and, yes, it is a clich but ramen is such for a reason. It is simple, cheap, quick and easy; which is great for the student whose favorite words are “class is cancelled” and “free.”

Try these meals in your dorm. Maybe you find something you like. If not, keep looking. It is all about creative trial and error; you have to find what works for you. There are healthy alternatives out there for every meal. Pinterest has pin after pin of healthy choices for college students.

Cereal is always an option. Cereal is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If all else fails there is always the cafeteria or the stud! Good luck on your journey to the freshman 15.
