Trey Walker has been “toting the pill” for as long as he can remember, but this will be his last year handling the football for the North Greenville Crusaders.
Walker’s love for the game started as a child when he played in PeeWee league. Walker refined his skills in his time playing middle school and high school football.
Walker attended Midland Valley High School in Grantville, S.C., where he was a star football player and track runner. When Walker was in 9th grade he was the only freshman on the varsity football team.
Walker just entered his fourth and final season as a Crusader. He has high hopes and goals for himself and the team.
“My number one goal is to win the “Nat-Nat” (National Championship) and to help the team win by any means,” said Walker.
Walker feels very strongly about succeeding in his last season with the team.
“It’s do or die,” he said.
Walker said he plans to cherish every moment and take advantage of every opportunity this season has to offer.
After graduation, Walker plans on entering into the NFL Draft in hopes of furthering his career as a professional football player. If his professional aspirations don’t work out, Walker said he wants to move back to Grantvilleand open up an athletic training facility.
“I want to give kids something I wish I had,” Walker said.
