Graduating in December? Here’s what you need to know!

It’s second semester of your senior year, will you make it out alive? In addition to senior seminar classes, projects, internships and applying for jobs, here are some key facts hopeful Fall 2014 graduates need to know.

Location: Turner Chapel
Tickets: TBA
Transfer Work: All transfer credits must be given to the Registrar’s Office by Dec. 1, 2014. Check these several times and ask qualified professionals, such as your academic adviser and department chairs to check them as well.
Graduation fee: If you wish to graduate, you must pay the $125 graduation fee as soon as possible. This covers your cap, gown, hat and diploma.
Cap and Gown Pick Up: Caps and gowns will be available for pickup at the Registrar’s office in Neves December 1 – 3 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Graduation Rehearsal: Rehearsal will take place on Wednesday, December 10. The time has not yet been announced. Be there to be inducted into the NGU Alumni Association.
Graduation Attire:
Male graduates- Dark shoes, (no flip flops or tennis shoes) dark socks, dark dress pants with a white shirt.
Female graduates- Sunday dress or black dress pants with a nice blouse, and dress shoes with a back strap. (Open-toe shoes allowed providing there is a back strap; no flip flops or tennis shoes).
Graduates should check their NGU email and bookmark the Graduation Information|Registrar page for updates on information throughout the semester.
Telling your parents when you are graduating so that various out of town family members can book flights and hotels far in advance may not be such a bad idea either.
