Six outdoor adventures to take this fall

By Carlee Colvard, Staff Writer

As the weather gets colder and the leaves begin to change, North Greenville students give their advice on where to go to enjoy God’s creation. For college students, these are places to go without having to spend money and still enjoy time with friends.

Pretty Place Chapel

Pretty Place is so amazing because it is a high point that overlooks all of God’s creation. It is a fantastic place to just get alone with God and reflect and marvel on His wonderful creation. It is also one of the best places to watch and see the sun as it’s rising, and to be a part of that is breathtaking.

Campbell’s Covered Bridge

Campbell’s Covered Bridge is a neat place to hang out on the smooth rocks by the stream underneath the historic bridge. It’s a unique place to be with history, nature and my girlfriend.

Poinsett Bridge is awesome. I’ve gone there since freshman year. It’s become a huge part in the friendships I’ve made after starting college. It’s a beautiful place to go, especially when you don’t want to spend money.

Caesars Head

I love sunsets and Caesars Head is the perfect place to see a beautiful sunset, especially in the fall once the leaves start changing colors. It’s nice because you drive right up to the lookout or if you are feeling outdoorsy, there are hiking trails all around the area. It’s a great place to just get away and marvel at God’s creation.

Lake Robinson

Lake Robinson is a beautiful, peaceful place where you can watch the sunset from the mountains over the lake. It is so close to school but it still feels like a place where you can get away, rest and see the Lord’s beautiful creation.
